Young POS WM - Design in the new planning process

This CPD webinar will cover how design policy will be incorporated into the planning process, following the recent planning changes in England. This session will cover the production and use of design codes and guides at subregional, local plan, area and site levels. The session will also introduce the work of the West Midlands Design & Place Network. This session will be led by: 

• Steve Barker, Lead Officer Design & Placemaking, at the Planning Advisory Service, and
• Kate Harris, Planning Officer & Urban Designer, Sandwell Council & West Midlands Place Advocate 

Following the 30 minute presentation, there will be a Q&A session with an officer catch up to end.
